July kicks of as a busy month for the coconut sector starting with Imbibe Live 2014 in London, this annual on trade event for the UK drinks trades, showcased why the industry is bananas about coconuts.

The coconut water sector was represent by Vita Coco, Cocofina, Taste Nirvana all debuting for the first time. In addition on the Coconut Rum front was Koko Kanu from Wray & Nephew with what they proudly describe as an authentic Caribbean Coconut Rum being 37.5% alcohol, thereby meeting the true legal definition of rum. |

Coco Re'al specialising in providing coconut puree for the cocktail and bar sector as well showcasing a new range branded product for autumn 2014. Also coconut & lime presse by Belvoir fruit farms also showed their as wet at Imbibe having launched it earlier this year.

July 7th sees The 46th APCC COCOTECH Conference and Coconut Festival taking place from 7th to 11th July 2014 at Colombo, Sri Lanka. Focusing “Policies, Programmes and Technologies Towards a resilient and Sustainable Coconut Sector.”

July 10th is National Pina Colada day and Malibu Rum are giving away free vouchers in the Metro Newspaper for Londoners to get their Pina Colada celebratory drink.
